Common questions
What to know before you start.
Questions about the assessment, Signal, monitoring, sprays, HSA billing, and data privacy — answered plainly.
What does the assessment actually cover?
Validated clinical instruments — the GAD-7 anxiety scale and ISI sleep index, scored and severity-banded — plus a full medical history: medications, conditions, substance use, and a self-harm safety screen. Signal structures the answers into a clinician-ready packet on submission.
What happens after my assessment is approved?
Approval unlocks your care plan: a care hub with daily check-ins, optional wearable monitoring, optional spray subscriptions, and plain-language reflections. Every future assessment links back into one continuous record.
How long does the assessment take?
Roughly 15 minutes. You can pause and return. Your answers are saved so you do not need to complete it in one session.
Will I get a diagnosis from the assessment?
No. The assessment produces a structured context packet for therapist review. A diagnosis is a clinical act that requires a licensed professional — it does not happen through this platform.
Can I update my answers after submitting?
Once submitted for therapist review, answers cannot be changed. You can start a new assessment if your situation has changed significantly.
Is the assessment HSA and FSA eligible?
Yes. The assessment is reviewed by a licensed therapist and qualifies as a billable clinical service under most Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account plans. Check your specific plan for eligibility details.
How do I pay with my HSA or FSA?
You can use your HSA or FSA debit card at checkout. If your plan requires an itemized receipt for reimbursement, one is available in your account after payment.
Are the sprays HSA or FSA eligible?
The nutraceutical sprays are wellness products and are generally not eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement. Only the therapist-reviewed assessment qualifies as a clinical service.
What is the cost of the assessment?
Pricing is listed at checkout. The assessment fee covers the intake process, Signal structuring, and the licensed therapist review.
Who reviews the assessment?
A licensed therapist reviews your structured assessment packet. The therapist is a credentialed professional — not an AI, not an algorithm, and not a peer support worker.
How long does the therapist review take?
Review times are stated at checkout. The review is returned with clinical context, observations, and next-step guidance.
Is the therapist replacing ongoing therapy?
No. The review returns structured context and observations for one assessment — it is not an ongoing therapeutic relationship, a treatment plan, or a substitute for regular therapy.
Can I contact the therapist with follow-up questions?
The review is returned asynchronously. It is not a live consultation and does not include a follow-up conversation channel.
What is Signal?
Signal is the AI layer that structures your assessment answers into a therapist-readable packet and monitors daily check-in data over time. It organizes context — it does not diagnose, treat, or replace clinical judgment.
Is Signal making decisions about my care?
No. Signal organizes and surfaces information. All clinical decisions — including what the review says — are made by a licensed therapist. Signal cannot diagnose, prescribe, or recommend a specific treatment.
What happens if Signal flags a risk?
Concern escalates through three tiers automatically. At the highest tier the normal flow stops, crisis resources (in the U.S., the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) surface immediately, and a clinician is escalated. The escalation logic is deterministic — it runs without any model and no model can lower it.
Does Signal learn from my data?
Signal adapts to your monitoring patterns over time — for example, it can detect when your baseline shifts. It does not share your individual data with other users or use it to train models beyond your own care context.
What does daily monitoring involve?
A check-in of about thirty seconds — anxiety level, sleep, and what happened on shift — plus optional wearable vitals. The data builds a trend picture visible to both you and your clinician over time.
What do wearables add?
Connected wearables stream HRV, resting heart rate, and sleep score into your personal baseline. Signal watches for deviation in either direction — improvement or deterioration — and surfaces it early, to you and your clinician.
Is monitoring required after the assessment?
No. Monitoring is optional and available after your first assessment is reviewed. You can choose to start, pause, or stop it at any point.
Who can see my monitoring data?
Your monitoring data is visible to you and to any therapist who reviews a future assessment from your account. It is not shared with third parties.
How long should I monitor before my next assessment?
There is no fixed interval. Many users find 4–8 weeks of monitoring provides enough trend data to make a follow-up assessment meaningfully more informative than the first.
What are the sprays made of?
The sprays use botanical ingredients — chamomile, lemon balm, lavender, valerian root, L-theanine, and similar extracts — depending on the product. Each has a listed botanical profile. No diagnostic or medicinal claims are made.
Are the sprays a treatment for anxiety?
No. The sprays are nutraceutical wellness products. They do not treat, diagnose, cure, or prevent anxiety or any other medical condition. They are optional support for daily routines.
Can I use the sprays instead of therapy?
No. The sprays are not a substitute for therapy, medication, or clinical advice. If you are experiencing anxiety, the assessment and therapist review are the appropriate starting point.
Will the sprays show up in my monitoring data?
If you log spray use in your daily check-in, it appears as a wellness variable in your monitoring record. Signal does not assign clinical significance to it.
Who can see my assessment answers?
Your assessment answers are visible to the licensed therapist who reviews them and to you. They are not shared with third parties, advertisers, or other users.
How is my health data stored?
Health data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Data handling follows applicable health data privacy standards. See the privacy policy for full details.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data through account settings or by contacting support.
Is my data used to train AI models?
Your individual data is not used to train general AI models. Signal uses your monitoring data only to build context within your own care history.
